My heart goes out to all of Emily’s family (including her best friend and partner in crime, Jan Hubley) in the loss of such a wonderful woman. I was fortunate to call Em my friend for almost 25 years, having met her when she and I worked in the Shubenacadie office of Public Health. She was born on December 24 and was truly a Christmas gift to everyone who came to know her during her 80 years roaming this earth. Reading the tributes coming in, there isn’t much I can add to describe the lady and the difference she made in lives she touched with her hope, joy, peace and love. One of a kind! She will be missed so much but what special memories she has left in her wake for us to treasure and share. I will miss most her laugh and her wise counsel.
