Obituary of Everett Rodger Densmore

DENSMORE, Everett Rodger, Ret'd Sargeant-age 69 of Enfield, formerly of East Noel, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on March 28, 2019 in The Magnolia, Enfield.

Born in East Noel, he was the son of the late Wilmont and Katherine (Fenton) Densmore, Everett had many different jobs before he graduated from the RCMP in May of 1976. He was stationed in Ottawa, Bedford, Sheet Harbour, Bridgetown, Liverpool, Sackville, Marystown, NL; Ingonish, H.Q. Halifax and then to Barrie, ON for the emergency planning for the G8 and G20 Summits before retiring in 2010 with 35 years of service. He was a member of the Noel Royal Canadian Legion and Lions Club of Canada. He was instrumental in initiating the Crime Prevention/Crime Stoppers group in Liverpool. He was at one time the provincial coordinator for ground search and rescue for the province of NS and spent many hours at the Swiss Air recovery in 1998.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Marilyn and his pride and joy, son, Mark (Jeanie); granddaughters, Kayleigh (Travis) and Keara; great grandchildren, Summer, Serenity and Sloan. He is also survived by brothers, Brian (Shelley) and Deryck (Paula); sisters, Ora (Ed), Valerie (Bob), Dianna (Stephen) and Darlene (Gerry); many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 1pm until time of service at 2pm Monday, April 1 at Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. Canon David Fletcher officiating. Reception to follow in the funeral home hospitality area.
