Please share a memory of Dianne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
BURNS, Dianne- age 72, of Ardoise, formerly of Pictou.
It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved wife, Dianne, on January 20, 2019 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, as a result of cancer. Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Bessie (Keddy)LeBlanc.
Dianne spent her working years with the Government of Canada, at the Department of National Defense, Human Resources and Development Canada as well as Natural Resources Canada.
She enjoyed skiing, sewing, knitting, embroidering, tole painting and many other crafts. Dianne enjoyed square dancing, belonging to many clubs throughout the Halifax area and holding many offices within those clubs. She also took pleasure in spending 13 cold atlantic winters in sunny Clearwater, Florida. All those that knew Dianne will remember her quick wit, kindness to others and the love she had for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Dianne is survived by her husband, Wayne; son, Leslie (Catherine); grandson, Tristian; great granddaughter, Paxton; brother, Lawrence (Margie); sister, Patricia Fleury (Butch); sister in-law, Dorothy Burns; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Friends and family are encouraged to share their fond memories of Dianne at a memorial gathering to be held at 2:30pm Saturday, January 26th in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home hospitality area until 4:30 pm.
Thank you to the doctors and nurses at Hants Community Hospital Unit 200 and 8.2 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, who made sure that Dianne was comfortable and free of pain.
