Dear Wayne and family,
The number of square dancers who have already posted is a testament to Dianne’s wide circle of friends in the square dance world. On behalf of all the dancers in the Square and Round Dance Federation of Nova Scotia, we send our condolences to the Wayne and the family and friends of Dianne. We are glad that Dianne enjoyed square dancing and shared in our many happy dance evenings and special events. Also, we are thankful for the time and energy Dianne dedicated to Chairing the Federation and to Chairing the 17th Canadian National Square and Round Dance Convention held in Halifax in 2010. She was a special lady and will be missed.
With our deepest sympathy,
Dottie and Gary Welch, Secretary SRDFNS

Wayne and Family,
Hey Old Friend, while reading of Dianne's passing I was struck by how long we have known one another and began to reminisce. It was 1967 when I was a newbie and first met you in the Message Centre. Later on while working in the Data Processing Centre I had the privilege of meeting Dianne, a new hire in the Control Section. Little did any of us know that you would join the Data Centre staff too. The rest is history.......with a few sparks in between eh.
Life takes it's toll and we lost touch with one another but I always remember you and your "sweetie" being happy and I am glad to see that you continued on that path and enjoyed so many good times together. It makes me feel good to know that as so many don't get the chance.
You never forget those you first started working with and even though many years have passed her loss has affected more than you know. Dianne was a wonderful, fun loving and "spunky" woman who will remain in my heart forever. GOD Bless

Dear Wayne,
My heart breaks to hear about Dianne's passing. She was such an amazing person and full of love. I truly enjoyed the time I spent with you and Dianne. I could always guarantee I would get a big bear hug from her whenever I saw her. She always had amazing stories to tell and when she laughed, you could feel like it came from all the way down to her toes. She will always be in my heart and memories. Hope to see you soon.
Love,
Susan

Wayne,
My sincere condolences on the loss of Dianne. I was shocked when I called my social work colleague in Hants Community Hospital on Monday to hear that she had died. We all knew she was unlikely to ever leave, but anticipated you would have a bit more time with her.
I only knew Dianne for a short time and can say I enjoyed our chats. She was a strong woman and I know she will be missed by all who knew her.
Take care of yourself, Wayne. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Cathy Gillis

Dianne was a remarkable woman. She could always put a smile on my face with her quick wit, funny stores and easy nature. We have known Dianne (and Wayne) for 20+ years and Dianne was always living life to the fullest. There are many great memories with Dianne but my favourite is the get together at her 70th Birthday celebration!!! We were lucky to have met such an Incredible Woman. She will be Missed!
