There are so many fond memories of Aunt Florence - my Dad's "Baby Sister". I always looked forward to her visits to Newfoundland and enjoyed the homemade goodies she so kindly shared. She was a woman with a calming presence and her love of family and her faith in God were clearly evidenced by the way she lived her life. My thoughts are with you all as you gather to celebrate a life well lived. Rest In Peace Aunt Florence!

To Aunt Florence's family,
Wishing you comfort in your many wonderful memories of your Mother/Grandmother.
When I was a young child, for several years she and I enjoyed a pen-pal relation back and forth and I have very fond memories of being so excited to check the mail and receive those letters which were always so kind. It made me feel special and ofcourse the impact of that on a young child is indelible, you never forget it. I imagine that was just the very tip of the iceberg of kind deeds and gestures she has done throughout her life.
My memories of her are as a gentle and gracious woman and may her soul rest in peace, reunited with those she held dear.

Our hearts were filled with emotion ,upon receiving word of Aunt Florence's passing. We say emotion, because it would be wrong to say grief, for a life that
was full and long lived. Aunt Florence was indeed the last of our mother's family
generation. The Pretty girls were a strong and enduring example of God's gifts to family. We would be blessed to have inherited their passion for life. In the animal world newborns are passed a parental immunity. This is something the parents pass to their children to help them face the challenges of live. God gave the Pretty girls an extra dose. They all faced live as it was presented and always moved forward. Our memories of visits with Aunt Florence gives a sense of peace as we see her in her garden or preparing a meal for her guest. We join with you in thanking God for the gift of having Aunt Florence in our lives.

We are saddened to hear of Aunt Florence's passing. Please accept our deepest sympathy. She was a kind soul who loved her family dearly and extended that kindness throughout the community. We always enjoyed a visit with her and her positive attitude toward life in the face of illness.
Mothers seem to hold a special place in our hearts and their passing leaves an unfillable void. However, we hope you will be consoled with the memories of the good times you shared down through the years and of the values she instilled in all of you though example.
May she rest in peace and rise again in glory! The angels have knit a pair of wings for her!

We are going to miss our visits with aunt Florence! It was hard to believe she was 90 years old. Everytime Dave would come to NS from Dildo we would always visit her. We all looked forward to it. The last time Dave and I visited her before Christmas, we couldn't find her....he went into the room to see where she was and down over the steps came flying wrapping paper...scared the you know what out of Dave! And the best part was, she wasn't allowed up there but she kept sneaking through the caution tape they put up to keep her downstairs. A sad day for us! xo RIP Aunt Florence!

We are sad to hear of the passing of Aunt Florence. She was my mother "Becky's" youngest sister. My earliest memory of Aunt Florence was at age 5, at Christmas when the Canada Post mail truck would make its way through the snow to our house in St. John's. There would be a large present with a package for me inside. My present would always be wrapped with a little car or chocolate on the outside and I couldn't wait to open Aunt Florence's gift from this far away place, "Halifax". One year there was a school stamp set inside. I was the only first grader in Newfoundland who could give themselves a teacher's "star"on my homework. We kept in touch with Aunt Florence through the years with several visits to her home in Enfield with Uncle Jack. We enjoyed her hospitality and all the creative things she had. Aunt Florence kept contact with our children as their great aunt through the years, exchanging cards and greetings at Christmas. We send our sincere condolences to her children and grandchildren. All that was good in her life will live on through your family.
Sincerely
Bob and Judy Puddester
