Fern - So joyful, gregarious and full of life. She was well loved by so many. There were always friends by to see her and she had a very active social life. I just loved visiting her on the farm when I was growing up as she always made the visits an adventure. I was very lucky to have an aunt who helped my parents out by welcoming me for visits so many summers. I remember going to the barn with her to fetch fresh milk. I fondly recall trips to the river with Fern for a swim and her raucous laughter one time when I stepped on an eel! She welcomed large groups to her table and was a great baker and cook. I fondly remember picking gooseberries out front and making a delicious gooseberry pie with Fern. I also remember her beautifully soft skin and her gorgeous smile. What a wonderful woman. Fern was a bright and shining light in my life for all the years that we were friends. I have missed her so much...her kindness and her laughter...her quirkiness and her wonderful sense of style. She listened and supported me when I felt isolated and alone. She was my family when I had nobody near to hand. Both Fern and Seymour had a huge impact on me and on my children...they were a gift to our hearts and were thought of with the love you extend to parents and grandparents.
