Heaven will never be the same! You are in my thoughts as I remember Audrey and what a character she was! I met and worked with Audrey at Cara way back when I was in high school. She was a supervisor and how lucky was I to have worked with her and laughed with her. I will always remember the evening shift that we had to clean the soft ice cream machine. Neither of us knew how but we needed to figure it out and quick. With ice cream everywhere and the pair of us running around trying to find containers to catch it, it was a scene straight out of I Love Lucy! We laughed so hard we cried. She never forgot it! No matter how many years passed, anytime I ran into her, the first thing she said was ‘wanna go get an ice cream?’ She was a gem. Rest in peace, my friend.

Even though I didn't know Audrey as well as many others did, one thing is very clear, how much she loved her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren!!! Audrey & Donald raised a wonderful family and I was lucky to be a neighbor of theirs for many years. I like to think I was a friend as well.I probably sold Audrey a package or two of cigarettes during our airport days!!!
I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your mom, grandmother & great grandmother but I know she will always be with you in your hearts and memories.
With much love,
Shelley Blois xo

She was “mom #2” to me , our trip to Quebec ( me , Adena , Dawn Elaine, and Audrey ) crawling on the floor to scare us at night , to the luggage store and her asking in loud slow English “Do you have Sam-son-ite?” , she was a bright light in everyone’s day , always made you feel welcome and like one of the family , That’s a rare quality . That was Audrey .
Love Kathryn and Kyle

During my time in Enfield, Audrey made me feel like a family member.I spent a lot of time at their home playing cards and sharing many meals. I was also included in memorable trips to Clam Harbour, Murphy’s Cove and Tangier.I ‘m so glad I became reacquainted with Audrey when she was at Vimy Court. She was a special friend and I will always cherish the memories of things Audrey and I did together.
To the Leslie family, we shared a special bond for many years and I ‘m holding you all close in my thoughts today.

Aunt Audrey and I would have long chats on the phone. One time I questioned her as to why she had never sent me a Christmas Card, as I would send her one yearly with updated pictures of my children.
She said she would send me one that year.
True to her word, I received a card.
Of course there was no personal message written, just her named scratch off and my name added..
Recycling at its best.
Thank you for all the treasured memories.
Laughter the best medicine
Daunine

We are so sorry to hear of Audrey's passing. We were lucky enough to know her through her sister Yvonne Ferguson. My brother John was Yvonne's husband. We got to share our nephew John and nieces Daunine & Lynn with Audrey. You were so lucky to have such an amazing woman as a Mom, Gramma or friend. We loved spending time with Audrey when she visited Ontario. She loved sharing stories about all her grandkids. You always heard her before you saw her. We will always remember her with a laugh or a smile.

My deepest sympathies to the Leslie family on the loss of Audrey. Dawn Leslie is my sister in law by marriage but my sister of the heart so I consider myself part of Audrey’s extended family. I shared some of Audrey’s many trips that she so enjoyed, she and I were roommates for a few of them and I have fond memories of her sense of humour. One memory in particular that I will never forget was a trip to Cuba, one night I returned to the room before her and was getting ready for bed when she burst into the room announcing she had found Jesus! She had a poor unsuspecting staff member in tow….in Spanish his name would be pronounced Hay-soos but she saw his name tag “ Jesus” and had to share that with me……that’s just an example of the mischief she would create! I will remember those fun times when I think of her.

It is with the deepest of sympathies we extend our sincere condolences to Dawn and her family at this difficult time. I had heard so many wonderful stories of Audrey's love of family and life and her gift to make others laugh and feel welcome. I had the pleasure of meeting Audrey and witnessing that first hand during a family wedding a number of years ago in the Dominican and immediately was welcomed by Audrey to join in the celebration whether poolside or beachfront.. She was a beautiful soul and I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet her. God Bless

The world lost a special lady with such a zest for life. Aunt Audrey, you left your special mark on so many people with your kindness and of course your antics. I sure hope heaven has some GOOD locks on the bathroom doors!!! I don't think you ever met anyone who didn't instantly become your friend, whether it was a customer at the airport or Thomas, my doorman in Dubai, who you sat and played cards with most nights. I am so happy that I got to share that special time with you and Mom and explore the desert with you.
Visiting you in Enfield was always a treat. Your home was always full of the energy that you exuded. The bond your children and grandchildren share is a testament you and Uncle Don.
You will be missed by many, but welcomed back into the arms of Uncle Don and other loved ones. I also hear there is endless fudge in heaven. ;)
Rest easy Aunt Audrey. XO
