Obituary of Jean Anna Cavicchi

CAVICCHI (Hamilton), Anna Jean – passed away peacefully on May 14, 2023 at the age of 91. Born October 30, 1931, in Middle Musquodoboit, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Amelia (Dean) Hamilton.

Jean worked as a Hairdresser, Cook and Telephone Operator. She was a member of the United Church, sang in the Church Choir and was president of the MVM Hospital Aux for over 20 years. Jean was a loving and kind person who enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family. She had a special place in her heart for her 3 Grandchildren, and 3 Great-grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Debbie (Reg); son, Don (Diane); 3 grandchildren, Jodie, Andrew (Chelsea), Jason (Caitlin); 3 great-grandchildren, Kaige, Olivia, and Bailey.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald; siblings, Lloyd, Jack, Gordon, Mary (Adams), Lorna (Levering), and Rod.

The family wishes to acknowledge the wonderful staff at The MVHSC Braeside where she resided for the last 8 years. Mom truly felt at home there and your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at 10:30 am in the Hillside Cemetery, Middle Musquodoboit.
