As one of Celton’s teachers in elementary school I remember him fondly. He was so enthusiastic, loving and cheerful. His warmth lit up a room when he entered. He was sensitive and kind to his classmates and adults. He was a joy to teach. He touched my life and I will hold on to his memory forever.

There are so many words that I could use to describe Celton but here are a few of mine. Celton was a joyful and happy son and an extraordinary young man who made everyone around him feel loved. If he knew you, you were getting a big hug. His excitement for life was infectious, from his love of sports, (Senators and Blue Jays) and music ( Hard Rock especially) his expression of excitement for these things was undeniably pure. Celton loved the world around him, I remember many years ago being at a Military Family Picnic and Celton being himself was out and around introducing himself to the people attending as he loved to be social. I was keeping a close eye on him the whole time and at one point after sitting in the grass for a moment he began approaching people with clasped hands and gesturing everyone to look. Everyone would jump back from his hands with a start and begin laughing, I called him over thinking to myself what has that boy got himself into. He approached me and said Dad look, I bent down looked into his hands and there gently held was the smallest most delicate little frog I had ever seen. The joy he got from that was unbelievable. We put the little frog back in the long grass and to this day I remember it like it was yesterday.
Celton loved superheroes and to me he was a superhero, his extraordinary power was the ability to bring love and life to everything he touched and every room he entered, rest in peace my wonderful son you will be missed."
Love Dad

I was deeply saddened to hear about Celton's sudden passing. Every time I saw Celton, be it in person when he was younger or through Karen's posts on Facebook and Instagram, he always had a smile on his face, he truly lived life to the fullest and with a happy, positive outlook. He truly has had a lasting impact on everyone's lives he has touched.
I know that words can not express how you must be feeling right now. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sending you our deepest sympathy and condolences.

I will always remember Celton as one of the kindest children I had the pleasure of teaching. A gentle soul, at peace with everyone around him, he made our class and school community a better place to be. Whenever I thought of him over the years, my first thought has always been that he is an earth angel. Now he sings with the angels and will be dearly missed. May gentle memories bring peace - as surely that is what he would have wanted. Celton will always have a place in my heart and he will live in the hearts of all who knew him.

I spent time with Celton in Nova Scotia while he was growing up here!!! What I will always remember about Celton is his huge smile and love for life!!! When we spoke, he was always so attentive and you could see he was genuinely connected to our conversations-absolutely like his Mother!!! I will always treasure those memories and absolutely blessed to have shared time with him!!!
Dearest Karen, Family & Friends sending all of you prayers of strength. May all the wonderful memories flood your hearts when you think of Celton. ♥️

Q: How did you meet Celton?
A: My name is Skylar Robertson. I met Celton four years ago at Adaptive Learning in Ottawa. He was the first person to say hello to me in class that morning. We have been close friends ever since. I loved chatting with him and cheering him on when he did Motionball and Special Olympics. We rode the bus home together for four years and always had such great memories . My heart is heavy. I have lost a person who I can call a true friend. It will not be the same not saying hi on chat or seeing him on the bus or at School. Ottawa is crying for you today. But I know, that God has you safe and you are smiling at your family and friends from Heaven above. You will always be in my heart everywhere I go. I will never forget the wonderful friendhship we shared. Your friend, Skylar.

Cuba 2020 - I have many great memories of Celton, the first being at the Bargain Shop in Elmsdale when he was an infant. His smile was bigger than life then. I was blessed to have worked at the elementary school Celton attended, therefore I was lucky to see his beautiful smile and zest for life everyday. His hugs were the best!
After Celton and his family moved, I still was fortunate to see Celton when he returned to NS for visits, in Cuba for Ben and Dorita’s wedding and most recently this past summer when he was in NS for Molly and Peter’s wedding. I’ll never forget receiving the biggest hug ever from him!
Fly high Celton, fly high… you were the brightest Angel on earth and now in heaven.

I guess one of my favorite things was answering the phone when I saw Celton calling, I would always say " WHAT DO YOU WANT" and his answer would always be "Oh Hi Johnnie Barr" God bless you Celton and thanks for everything.

Nobody loved events more than Celton. From F1 races to Senators games. Above all else, being the good east coaster that he was he loved concerts. He has been my side kick to so many great concerts. I'll always remember his larger than life excitement when he opened tickets to our latest concert experience. No fan cheered larger.

So sorry to hear of Colton's passing. Although we only met him once at your wedding, he had a great spirit and a fantastic sense of humor and happiness. It seems as if a wonderful soul has been taken from the world. I will be away and we are so sorry we cannot be present at his celebration of life, but out thoughts and prayers are with all of your family. a tragedy such as this is not easy at any time, but at this time of year it seems to be worse. Again we are so sorry for your loss. Ed & Brenda
