Dear Amelda, Peter & Family,
So many years have passed, that you probably forgot about your parent's next-door neighbours (the McDonald's). Well, we never forgot these wonderful caring neighbours who once resided beside us. First the Moffet's and then the DeAmicis couple. My eldest daughter. Natalie has fond memories of a lady who brought her inside (maybe to keep her out of the garden) to help her make cookies and cakes. We were blessed when meeting their son Peter and wife Amelda who demonstrated so much love and respect toward this special couple.
Many years after my departure from Lacey Subdivision, my wife Shirley and I had a pleasant visit to Rome and toured many parts of Italy in 2017. I was on an assignment following the footsteps, video, and story of a Canadian soldier who was killed at the Lamone River during WWII. The Italian people were friendly and never forgot Canadian soldiers. Memories came back to me about your Mom and Dad. We were sad learning of the passing of Santina and yet felt thankful for great memories they so kindly shared. You will remain in our thoughts and prayers, deepest sympathy, Gus McDonald & Family
