Vaughn was my very close friend. We shared so much of our lives with one another. Our past-- our pains-- our break throughs. He was a gentle spirited man. He loved my boys--he was their PAPA. He even asked for one to carry his name--Isaiah Vaughn Durocher. We will miss our surprise visits to his home. Rest in Sweet Peace my friend. Until we meet again.

Thinking of a good good man and friend, gentle and kind. Struggles he hsd, yet always returned to his genuine self...a man there to lend a helpingbhand to any who needed it. Now up in the heavens, he watches over us all still. RIP Vaughn

Vaughn became Big Brat cuz I became voice of reason when going thru health crisis at Mission Friendship Centre. Ambulance Attendants would struggle for cooperation & I’d call his name tell him they’re trying to help you so listen.
He’d come into MFCS I ‘d say “Hey there’s big brat how you doing darling?” Always laugh & I’d let him get settled before I went to talk to him to catch up.
Last time I saw him he was in rough shape not having a good day at all. Chatted with him til his ride arrived ... gave him a hug said “love you lots take care”. So glad I got a little visit.

I thank you, Barb and family, for sharing Vaughn with us here in Mission. I have known and loved my friend for more than 10 years and have witnessed his struggles and his successes. He had a heart of gold, seldom complained, always thinking of others, and we had many adventures together. I will miss him a lot!
