Obituary of Valerie Elizabeth Hirtle

HIRTLE, Valerie Elizabeth “Libby”- age 80 of Shubenacadie, formerly Carroll’s Corner, passed away peacefully at home on November 7^th, 2019. Born in Port Dufferin, she was a daughter of the late George and Bertha (Hughes) McLellan.

She will be sadly missed by her children; Ron, Joanne, Norman, Lisa, Jennifer, and their spouses; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, James.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.

A funeral service will take place 2pm Wednesday November 13^th, 2019 at Gays River United Church, Lori Crocker D.M. officiating.   Interment will follow in the Gays River Cemetery.  A reception will be hosted in the church hall afterwards.
