Obituary of Rick Pond

POND, Richard Dale “Rick” – age 64, of MacPhees Corner. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rick on October 15, 2019 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.

Rick was the first-born child of Eileen (Sherwood) and Orville Pond.

Rick was a very kind and compassionate man who always had a story to share. Rick was a loving partner.

Rick is survived by his spouse, Patsy Rose and their “boys” (canine), Gordie and Storm; his siblings, Sheila Crombie, Pat (Bob) Brightman, Gary (Lorna) Pond, Shirley (David Julien) Reid, Kevin (Monique) Pond, several nieces and nephews.

Rick was predeceased by his parents; brother, James; sister, Gail, both in infancy; his maternal grandparents, Harry and Edith Sherwood; paternal grandparents, Albert and Flossie Pond.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. As per Rick’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private family burial will be held at a later date in Maugerville, NB.
