VINCENT, Myrtle “Sandy” formerly of Stewiacke passed away peacefully at the age of 91 at the Northwood, Halifax on October 9, 2019.  Born in Onslow, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Matilda (Barr) Tucker.

Sandy was a very hard worker. She loved being outdoors in her garden and loved all animals. Sandy was an avid reader, enjoyed doing puzzles, quilting and baking for her family and friends. She loved to give back to her community.

Sandy is survived by her children, Vivian Irving (Paul Cormier), Halifax; Vernon (Kari), Calgary; Valerie Chambers, Edmonton; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; daughter in-law, Pauline Vincent, Truro.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sons, Velmer “Red” and Larry; brothers, Julian Tucker and John, in infancy.

Visitation will take place 6-8pm Monday, October 14th in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie from where a funeral service will be held 2pm Tuesday, October 15th, Rev. Martin Reid officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home hospitality area. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, East Stewiacke.

In lieu of flowers donations in Sandy’s memory may be made to Hope for Wildlife or ElderDog Canada.
