Obituary of Eleanor Thelma Hines

HINES, Eleanor Thelma - age 89, of Enfield, passed away in Vimy Court, Bible Hill, on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Corkum) Fleet.

Eleanor worked as a nurse in the Children’s Hospital in the 1950’s. After having her children, Eleanor embraced motherhood and focused her energies toward her family. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and bowling in a local league with her husband Jack.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jack; daughter, Mary Leger.

She is survived by son, Danny (Krista); granddaughters, Liza Jane Hines and Stephanie Leger; son-in-law, Paul Leger;  sister in-law Molly Fiander, brother in-law Robert Hines, several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held 3pm Tuesday September 24, 2019, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
