Obituary of Malene Elizabeth Harvey

HARVEY, Malene Elizabeth - of Shubenacadie. Malene Elizabeth Harvey sadly passed away July 30th, 2019 after a very brave battle. Born January 6th, 1941, Malene was a daughter of the late Buster and Olive Harvey.

Mother loved to bake and provided many Christmas goodies to family and friends. Malene loved to knit and was very generous in giving her knitted dish cloths to everyone. She enjoyed Bingo, scratch tickets and playing Yahtzee with her friends. She looked forward to her nightly visits with her best friend Marina. Malene will be forever cheering on her beloved Blue Jays.

Mom is survived by sons, Rob (Cindy) Singer, Dave Singer (Lynne Hamilton); daughter in law, Dale Singer; sister, Donalda Mosher. She will always be loved by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Billy; father of her boys, Currie; brother, Bobbie; sisters, Laverne and Doris.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. At Malene’s request there will be no visitation or funeral. No flowers please.

A graveside service will be held 4pm Sunday, August 4th in North Noel Road Cemetery, Rev. Gus MacDonald officiating.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff in the Palliative Care Unit at the Colchester Hospital.
