Obituary of Albert Arthur Stoddart

STODDART, Albert Arthur – age 82 of Lantz, passed away peacefully June 25, 2019 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Arthur and Jean (Keddy) Stoddart.

Albert worked at LE Shaw’s before moving to National Gypsum from where he retired. Albert enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping and the odd round of golf. He was an active member of the Anglican Parish of Lantz and was a past Master of C.W. Saunders Masonic Lodge 125.

Albert is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Elaine; children, David, Robert (Kathryn Lund); grandchildren, Anthony, Jessica, Tyler; siblings, James, B.C.; Ronald (Linda), Eastern Passage; Murray, Truro; Helen Arnold, Lantz; Rita (John) Moxsom, Hardwood Lands; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by sisters, Shirley Stoddart, Geraldine Hart, Joan Langille and brother, Doug Stoddart.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will be held 2pm Friday, June 28th  in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. Canon David Fletcher officiating. Reception to follow in the funeral home hospitality area.  Interment will be held at a later date.
