Obituary of Kenneth John Shackleton

SHACKELTON, Kenneth John – Age 65 of Enfield passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 12, 2019 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.

Born in Halifax, he was a son of Marjorie (Benere) Shackleton and the late Reginald “George” Shackleton.

Kenny was a loving father who enjoyed spending time outdoors and making memories with family and friends. He was also a devoted golfer. Kenny had been a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and a lifetime member of the Enfield Legion.

Kenny is survived by his mother, Marjorie; daughter, Tanya Shackleton (David Hartlin), son, Sean (Melissa); grandchildren, Samuel and Haylee; siblings, Danny (Doris), Greg (Barb), Tommy (Heather), Larry (Claudia) and Wendy (Stewart); a large extended family and a close circle of wonderful friends.

He was predeceased by his wife, Darlene and his father, George.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A Celebration of Life will be held 2-4pm Friday, May 17th in the Enfield Legion. Private interment to follow at a later date.

Donations in Kenny’s memory may be made to the Enfield Legion Branch 133, 50 Old Enfield Rd., Enfield NS B2T 1C9.

The family would like to thank all of the nurses and staff at the ICU at CEHHC for their exceptional care.
