So sorry to learn of Cecil's passing. His office at Maple Ridge school was across the hall from my classroom. We shared many stories and I think of him at the start of every fishing season as he so looked forward to this and when I need cranberries.

Although we grew up not far from one another, I got to know Cecil so much better when he worked at Maple Ridge. I kept my classroom neat and clean which gave Cecil more time to chat, with a little grumbling mixed in. However, he was always obliging with cleaning up marker that found its way on desks or paint on the floor. He was a wealth of knowledge especially relating to nature. We always loved receiving his handpicked cranberries but his bog was never revealed. Deepest condolences to his family. May your special memories of Cecil help you through this difficult time. Awaiting the date for his celebration of life.

Dipper, all the carved ducks, loons and hummingbirds have a special place in our home; we will remember your artistic talent. Your hand tied may flies were the very best and always caught fish.
Our memories (there are many) will be treasured; smiling, laughing, talking (sometimes cranky), caring, sharing, loving, eating, fishing and dancing.
We know you are fishing, picking blueberries, cranberries, and mushrooms some place.
Remember...don’t take any wooden nickels!
Thank you for your loyal friendship.
Sincere condolences to the Cormier family and wishing you all comfort in this time of sorrow.

We were very sorry to hear of Cecil's passing. I enjoyed many conversations with Cecil when we worked together at the school in Shubenacadie. We also enjoyed his visits when he would drop in at our home. Over the years we have collected some of his special works..a fly broach, a duck carving, a loon and a hummingbird. He will be missed. Please accept our sincere condolences.

I wish to offer a message of sincere sympathy to the Cormier family. I did not know Cecil as an adult but back in the day, summer vacation m Belle Cote meant that the "Cormier boys" including Cecil would be visiting their grandparents, our next door neighbors. We always spent time fishing in the brook, and playing board games to pass the time. Great memories ! May you all find comfort at this time of loss.

So sad to hear of Cecil's passing. I always enjoyed his teasing and my "getting back". Cecil used to bring us cranberries, and I have a loon carving on my mantle and also a hummingbird hanging in the window at the cottage. They will have special significance now.
My condolences to Cecil's family. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

Rest In Peace, dear friend.
We always enjoyed Cecil’s pop-in visits and will miss his grumbling, his stories and the many laughs we had together.
He blessed our home with his talented craftsmanship - his ducks, loons and hummingbirds will be constant reminders of his skill and generosity.
Our holiday dinners won’t be the same without Cecil’s “handpicked-with-care” cranberries. The best in the country according to him - always delicious and a special part of our meals.
Our youngest son took his very first steps to Cecil - I’ll never forget the look of surprise on Cecil’s face, and the pride and pleasure he got out of telling and retelling the story of this special moment.
Lots of memories of Cecil to treasure. We will miss him dearly.
Our sincere condolences and love to the Cormier family.

I’ve got to know Cecil very well during his years as a driver for Mi’kmaw family & children’s services. I spent many hours chatting with him. When he worked for the agency, I looked forward to his daily visits. He definitely had a soft spot in my heart and he knew it. He was a wonderful man. I hope to know the date of the celebration of life, wouldn’t miss it. Condolences to his family ❤️
