Obituary of Scott James Price

PRICE, (Irwin), Scott James – age 54, Maitland, passed away peacefully at home in Maitland, on Friday, April 19, 2019. Born in St. Thomas, Ontario, he was the son of James Irwin, of Alymer, ON. and the late Donna (Englund) Price.

Scott worked for a number of years for the Canadian Mental Health Association before deciding to go back to school. He received his BFA in 2001 from the University of Lethbridge, and his MFA in 2004 from NSCAD University. Scott then taught in the Foundation Program at NSCADU for several years. In 2002, Scott met his husband, Gary Hanrahan, in Halifax. They were married in 2006 and relocated to the village of Maitland in 2014.

Scott is survived by his husband, Gary Hanrahan; father, Jim and stepmother Diane; sisters, Sherrilee Price Lemay (Pat), Shannon Irwin Giles (Will); nieces and nephews.
