Obituary of Minnie Rose Singer

SINGER, Minnie Rose-age 87 of West Gore, peacefully passed away on February 27, 2019 at home.

Born in Clarksville, she was daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Wilcox) Dearman.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was affectionately known as “Grandma Kettle” by her precious grandchildren. Minnie loved time spent with family, especially road trips for an enjoyable meal.

She will be sadly missed by children, Shirley (Ralph) MacDonald, Murray (Joanne), Roddy (Betty), Stephen (Wanda), Donna, Wanda (David) Sexton, Sherril (Trevor) Joudrey; sister, Marjorie MacDougall; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd, sons, Randall, Roger and Albert; brother, Johnny Dearman; sisters, Gladys Smith, Pearl Redden and Dottie Bond; son in law, Vernon Bartlett.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2-4pm Saturday, March 2 in West Gore Disciple Church, from where a funeral service will be held 3pm Sunday, March 3, Rev. Angus R. MacDonald officiating. Reception to follow at the West Gore Firehall. Interment will be held 1pm Saturday, May 11 in the West Gore Cemetery.
