Obituary of Barry Carl Gallagher

GALLAGHER, Barry -age 58, of Milford, passed away suddenly January 9, 2019. Born in Truro, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Ardis (Thompson) Gallagher.

Barry loved telling stories, tall or short, and was good at it. He loved his family above all else. Barry worked for CN Police for more than 30 years. When not working he enjoyed riding his motorbike. Barry was kind and generous and was always willing to lend a hand.

He is survived by Louise (Richardson) Gallagher, and their children, Thomas and Alex; sister, Pam Trites; brother, Dale (Mildred); several nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by sister, Kathy Saunders; brother-in-law, Gary Trites.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.

No visitation by request. A Legion service will be held in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, 11am, Wednesday, January 16. A reception will follow in Elmsdale Legion.

Donations in Barry’s memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Elmsdale Legion.
