Obituary of Wayne Frederick Dowding

DOWDING, Wayne Frederick – age 64, Truro, passed away peacefully August 26, 2018 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro.

Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Fred and Mary Agnes (McIsaac) Dowding.

Wayne loved spending time at his cottage in Toney River. He loved the outdoors and had all the toys he needed to stay very active. He enjoyed travelling. Wayne had a great sense of humour and was quite the practical joker – always in a kind - hearted way.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Susan; his children, Chris (Kelly Gilby), Lauren (Brandon Hutt), Brian and Brian’s daughter, Raine; and an extended family.

Cremation has taken place. A visitation and reception will take place 2-4pm Wednesday, August 29 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie.

Special thanks to Marjorie and Roy, Lynne and Kris, John and Anne, and many others who have supported us throughout this long journey. As well, our deepest appreciation to the staff at Eden Hall, Cedarstone for their tremendous care and compassion.
