I met Arthur by way of Susan. He calculated where we could drill holes in a race car chassis to save weight without loosing structural strength.
My condolences to Susan and her family.

To Arthur’s Family,
I am truly saddened to hear of His passing. He was a wonderful man who always shared stories of his life and times. I loved seeing him come strolling in at the Superstore and could hardly wait to hear about his next piece of advice.
He will be missed. Thank you for sharing him with all of us.

Condolences to all of Arthur's family and friends.
We met Arthur through the Ham radio hobby over 10 years ago - most of the time was spent on the Echolink VOIP program with Murray (VA3BLQ). Everyday was a delight with with discussions of natural history, engineering, naval history and computers. Arthur was quite the computer aficionado often landing in trouble after one of his "improvements" much to the delight of his friends. More importantly, he tirelessly helped out his sight impaired friend Hew Prouse with remote computer connections that solved Hew's problems.
We are glad we met Arthur and Dorothy briefly in 2014 during our visit to the area. They graciously received us for a snack and coffee at the house. It was so nice to put faces to voices!
As boaters we can imagine some of the adventures they had on Cabot's Matthew and the detailed preparations and many skills they needed. Arthur retained his love of adventure so we weren't surprised to hear he was planning a safari. True to form he prepared well and we encouraged him despite concerns.
We miss Arthur and are sorry for your loss.

Wendy, Brian, Susan and Andrew we were very sad to hear about your dad's death. He was such a fine man and such a big part of my life. He is the last of that wonderful group and will be missed by many. Hoist a jar for him and wake him well. He gave us many fine memories.

To Arthur's Family .. This morning when I read of your Dad's passing I felt both shocked & saddened .. Just early last week I believe on Monday I waited on Arthur at the Elmsdale Guardian.. I was happy to see him as it had been a while & he always had an interesting story to share .. This day I asked him how he was doing & with a big smile his reply was" I'm happy to be on this side of the sod". I told him I was very happy he was also :) I know your Mom will be happy to have the love of her life by her side once again.. I'll always remember them as a special couple..
My sincerest sympathy to your family,

Dear Morris Family: you all know how close our families were over the years, and for me personally during Arthur's years at Ledaire Morris; so good to see that name in print again.
Arthur had a large impact on my life, as he did for many others, he taught me so many things about our business & life and he sent me in many directions that I could have imagined at the start. Since he retired from Leadaire, Morris I have thought of him almost daily, and will continue to think of him. Mary and I send our regards and condolences and get solace thinking of a life well lived.
