Obituary of Howard Richard Schofield

1933 – 2017 Obituary of Howard Schofield SCHOFIELD, Howard Richard- age 84 of MacPhees Corner, passed away peacefully in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro on October 12, 2017. Born in Gaspereau Valley, he was a son of the late Truman and Eva Schofield. He had a 40 year career with NS Power as a Construction Supervisor. Upon retirement, Howard enjoyed gardening, attending country jamborees, working in the woods and going to card parties. He will be missed by his wife of 60 years, Marion (Nelson); his four sons, Michael (Debbie), Brian (Sonia), Tim (Joan), Jeff (Judy); grandchildren, Tomas (Karissa), Matthew, Bradley, Libby, Samantha, Maggie and Ryan; step grandson, Geoffrey Ratchford; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Marjorie, Dorothy, Ralph and Raymond. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 6-8pm Monday, October 16 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie from where a funeral service will take place 2pm Tuesday, October 17, Rev. Martin Reid officiating. A reception will follow the service. Interment to take place at a later date.
