Obituary of Mary Emma Elizabeth Dalrymple

DALRYMPLE, Mary Emma Elizabeth – Age 87, Nine Mile River, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on October 9, 2017 in the Magnolia Care Facility, Enfield. She was a daughter of the late Ashley and Dorothy (Whalen) DeWolfe. Mary is survived by her son, Brian Dalrymple (Nancy Goodine), Gore; daughter, Sherry Levy (Ralph Pearson), Lantz; grandson, Derrick (Amy) Caddell, Nine Mile River; granddaughter, Tyra Levy (Aaron MacInnis), Halifax; step grand daughter, Tracy Levy and step great grand daughter, Amelia Levy; sister, Edith (Murray) Barron; sister-in-law, Jean DeWolfe, and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her dear husband, Orie; brother, Eddie DeWolfe; sister, Jean Parker; brother-in-law Donnie Parker; and sister-in-law Mary Sawdon. Mary enjoyed many happy times with her husband, Orie, dancing at the Nine Mile River Hall, playing cards with friends, and camping with the family. Christmas was always special! During her working life, Mary held various positions with local businesses, including Cook’s Hatchery & the Co-op, both in Milford, Parker’s IGA in Enfield, and the Shubenacadie and Elmsdale branches of RBC. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 14 from 1pm until time of service at 2pm both in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. Angus R. MacDonald officiating. A private family burial will be held in Sand Hill Cemetery.
