Velma and I taught high school together in Westville, where I appreciated her as a congenial, fun colleague. When we went our separate ways, we continued our friendship through Christmas greetings. In later years my husband, Rev. Frank Locke, and I visited her in her Stewiacke home. Our condolences to Velma's family!
