Obituary of Amber Nicole Steylen

STEYLEN, Amber Nicole - age 15 of Nine Mile River, passed away Thursday February 2, 2017 at home. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of Jennifer and Peter Steylen and Derek (Heather Edwards) Dunlap. Amber was a dynamic person with a thirst for knowledge. She enjoyed reading, writing, public speaking, theatre and swimming. She was a proud member of the LGBTQ Community. Besides her parents, she is survived by her siblings, Emma and Reid Steylen, and Amelia and Hudson Edwards-Dunlap; her grandparents, Donalda Kelly, Antigonish; Sheila and Terry Gottschall, Antigonish; Cathy and Paul Steylen, Halifax; and several aunts and uncles. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 7-9pm Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, NS. A Celebration of Life will be held at the funeral home at 2pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, Martin Reid presiding.
