Obituary of Clarence Edward Julian

JULIAN, Clarence Edward “Sputter” age 58 of Truro, formerly of Indian Brook, passed away January 19, 2017 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Peter and Mary Agnes (Sack) Julian. Sputter was a gifted athlete who excelled at softball, boxing and hockey. In softball he was known for the rare ability to throw a knuckleball. The hockey teams he was a part of won numerous native hockey championships during the years he was involved. He was a lifelong Habs fan. Sputter loved meeting new people and to share stories.
He is survived by daughters Brittany Julian, Truro; Carla Jean Julian, Eskasoni; Amanda Hurley Julian, Halifax and Samantha Googoo, Indian Brook; several grandchildren; siblings Theresa Levi, Margaret Julian, Mary Agnes Julian, Carl Julian, Peter Julian, John Julian and Ryan Julian, all of Indian Brook First Nation, Robert Julian, Paq’tnkek First Nation, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Angelina Augustine, Gloria Julian, Linda Ann Julian and brother Louie Julian.
Visitation will begin at 2pm Sunday January 22, 2017 at 67 Tuff Street, Indian Brook and a sacred fire will burn there until time of the funeral service, 2pm Wednesday January 25, 2017, which will be held at St. Kateri’s Roman Catholic Church, Indian Brook, Father Joseph Thomas officiating.
A committal service will be held in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, following the service.
