Obituary of Cyril Charles Dillman

DILLMAN, Cyril Charles “Charlie” age 70 of Devon. It is with great sadness that Charlie’s family announces his passing on October 18, 2016 in the QEII, Halifax Infirmary Site. Born in Lower Sackville, he was a son of the late Russell and Florence (Fraser) Dillman. His sheer determination to live brought him through health concerns over the past few years. Charlie was very proud of his classic 1950 Ford car in which he thoroughly enjoyed travelling in over the years, especially in the company of family and friends. He will be missed by his feline companion, Miss Brownie. He was a heavy equipment operator working in construction for his entire career. Left to mourn are children, Doreen, Audrey (Kevin), Gordon (Lorelei), Paula (Doug), Tammy (Allan); eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren; sister, Cora, brothers Bernie and Clinton, numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Vera; siblings, Oral, Loretta, Alexander, Vincent and Joyce. At Charlie’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Special thanks to his family doctor, Dr. Burden and to Dr. Bussey and the staff at the Infirmary.
