Dear Fred, Debbie and Family,
It was our pleasure to get to know Doug and Elizabeth when they moved back to Truro. We enjoyed singing with Doug and visiting with Elizabeth for many years. They were a polite and gracious couple with a great sense of humor. We will miss them.
Sincerely,
Elva and Peter

We would like to extend our sympathy to Fred and Brian and the rest of the Maybee family. Our Aunt Betty was a memorable favorite when we visited Gramma and Grampa in Sydenham at home or at the lake. She had the most engaging smile for us children, always a bright, sparkly, friendly visage. When they moved to Truro Doug and Elizabeth would visit our Mom (Hazel ) regularly and even when they themselves were not able to drive would have their care giver bring them every Friday to say hello. Carlene remembers Elizabeth fondly from those visits when she was there with Mom while I was working Our Prayers are with you all as we celebrate a wonderful Mom and Aunt.
Love Ron and Carlene in Bear River NS

I always remember your mom when I was growing up in Sydenham. She was always laughing and a very happy person. Many a time I spent in your family home sharing a laugh with everyone. Although it has been many years since I last saw Betty, the memory of her has always remained with me. She was a wonderful person and I am sure a wonderful mother. I am honored to have know such a great lady.

Dear Fred and Brian and family,
Please know that I am thinking of you (and all my Nova Scotia cousins) and that I send my deepest condolences.
I cherish the wonderful fond memories I have of growing up in Sydenham with many visits, yummy snacks and lunches from Aunt Elizabeth up the street not far from home ! Cottage memories on Sydenham Lake with lots of picnic table meals and fish frying lessons with Aunt Elizabeth at the red cottage next door to ours ! Loving memories also of the care and love she showed to my kids (Erin and Calvin). She will never be forgotten!
May love and peace be with you all and surround you during this difficult time.
Sending all my love,
Cousin Susan ❤️
