Obituary of Greta Mae Ellsworth

ELLSWORTH, Greta Mae -age 87 of Shubenacadie, passed away peacefully October 17, 2016 in Elk Court, Brookfield.
Born in North Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and Sarah Helen “Nelle” (Lillington) Ingraham. Greta worked as a nursing assistant in Neils Harbour, Cape Breton, before she was married. Later in life she was employed at the Shubenacadie Co-op for 15 years, first as a cashier, working up to be grocery manager. Greta was a gifted knitter, there wasn’t a pattern she couldn’t figure out. She loved to play Bingo and cards. Greta enjoyed watching her soap operas and the Price is Right. She was an avid scrap booker before it became popular. Greta loved her Shubie Lions Fast Ball Team, Toronto Blue Jays and she was a huge Sidney Crosby fan. She was a hard working home maker.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, of almost 68 years Ernest; daughters, Georgina Ellsworth, Glenda (Robert) Conley, Helen “Bunnie” Gaudet; sons, Dale (Cathy) Ellsworth and Kevin Ellsworth; grandchildren, Kelly (Alan) MacLeod, Robbie Conley, Tony Gaudet Jr., Natalie (Felix) Dunn, Julie, Mitchell and Kaitlyn Ellsworth, great-grandson Jack MacLeod; brothers, Clyde (Irene) Ingraham, Garland (Sharon) Ingraham; sister, Judy (Dave) Moore and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Stewart.
Visitation will be held 6-8pm, Wednesday in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie from where a funeral service will be held 2pm, Thursday, October 20, 2016, Rev. Angus R. MacDonald officiating.
