Obituary of Jean Katherine Thomas

THOMAS, Jean Katherine – age 84, of Barr Settlement, passed away peacefully September 17, 2016 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Worden and Mary (Stone) Wambolt. Her father passed away when Jean was young and her mother married Harry Horwill, who Jean considered as her father. Jean was a loving and giving woman who lived to make others happy. She enjoyed knitting and scratching lottery tickets. Everyone who knew Jean loved her. She leaves to mourn her son, Perry (Emily), Barr Settlement; grandchildren, Brent (Leigh), Shana; great grandchildren, Sophia, Elania; sister, Linda (Ed), Halifax; nieces and nephews, Irene, Lenwood, Leonard, Koren, Troy. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Royal; son, Shane; sister, Rose; nephew, Kirk. Cremation has taken place. No visitation or service by request.
