WARDROPE (Geddes) Jennie Edna Victoria age 82 of Milford Station, N.S. died September 18, 2016 at the Mira in Truro.
Born in Grindstone, Magdalen Islands P.Q. she was the eldest daughter of the late David Lloyd and Ada Elma (Patton) Geddes.
In 1939 they moved from the Magdalen Islands to Shubenacadie where she attended school.
Jennie taught Sunday school and C.G.I.T., was active in Home and School. She worked at the Royal Bank for many years and then moved into Real-estate sales. She also held several offices on the Credit Union board of directors. She enjoyed the local history and was working on the history of the early settlers of Milford. Jennie was an avid reader, mat hooker, quilter and knitter. Her greatest joy was her six children, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren and spending time in Bass River at the cottage.
She is survived by her sons Ralph (Jocelyn) of Milford, Steven (Florence) of Fort McMurray and Ross (Debbie) of Stewiacke; daughters Dawn Ann Proctor (Gary) of River Herbert and Jenny Lynn (Frank) of Milford. grandchildren Amy, Tim (Emily), Krista, Adelle, Natalie, Charlene, Christina, Jillian, Lindsay Campbell (Arron). Five sisters Annie Archibald (Elmer), Elizabeth Russell (Creighton), Jessie Williams (Carl), Wanda and Terry. She was predeceased by husband Roger and daughter Debbie Ruth Peck, infant brothers John Robert, David, Kenneth, Harry, Donald, Gerald, and William Geddes, grandchildren Tanya Proctor and Trevor Ettinger.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 2pm Friday September 23, 2016 at the Milford- Lantz United Church, Lori Crocker D.M. officiating.
