Irene was one in a million --my first memory was of her and I papering in my sisters home and how we laughed and thru the years what a gentle lady she was and LADY in capitol letters I remember dressed in her legion uniform -and being a great mom to you all as kids and as adults she had many roles in life and filled them all like only she could she will be missed you are all in my thoughts and prayers now and in the days to come

Sincere condolences to Irene's family and friends. I cannot remember a day in my life that I did not know Irene. She was one of my earliest babysitters of my sister and I. From my earliest memories she was around - the village, the legion or where ever! I fondly remember her playing scrabble over the years with Mum and the stories told! She was a straight shooter (she could speak her mind and in her day hit a target with a .22 with no problem lol) the type of lady that could handle herself in any situation!! Fondly remembered and lovingly thought of today and always. RIP Irene and thank you for being a beautiful human being, a strong women, and a devoted community person - give Ken and hug for me...ox
