TURPLE, Lorna Mae – 80, Enfield/Cooks Brook, passed away peacefully Friday, April 8, 2016 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Albert County, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Minetta M. Beaumont of Vancouver Island and the late Ernest Sinclair of Courtenay, BC. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Vernon Turple; sister, Carole; brother, Allen. Lorna will be remembered speeding by on her way to bingo, cards, crib, etc., or for travelling around the province selling Tupperware for over 30 years. She loved her road trips and bingo bus tours to Bangor. She was at her happiest at Cooks Lake feeding her many ducks, frogs, and hummingbirds, while surrounded by her loving, but loud family. Lol. Lorna took pride in her appearance and never had a hair out of place thanks to her long-time friend and hair dresser, Linda Benere. She is survived by her children, Angie Telford, Newport; Debbie (Andre) Haince, Enfield; Billy (Debbie), Enfield; Patty (Merlin) McMullin, Lake Egmont; Timmy (Kim), Fall River; Beannie (Laura), Fletcher’s Lake; Lesa Turple, Enfield; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren (and another on the way); many nieces and nephews; sisters, Gale, Brenda, Nancy and Vicky, all of British Columbia. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Lorna’s Life will be held 7-9pm, Wednesday, April 13 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. There will be no funeral service by request.
