MEUSE (Paul), Evelyn Marie “Penny”- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of the strongest person, mother, and friend, Evelyn Marie “Penny” Meuse, age 67, of Indian Brook. Penny passed away peacefully in the QEII- Halifax Infirmary on March 25, 2016. She was the daughter of the late John Benjamin Pictou and Betsy (Larke) Paul. She is survived by her 7 children, Crystal (Vernon) Gloade, Truro; Lee (Ross) Paul, Indian Brook; Emerald Paul, Dartmouth; Amber Paul, Indian Brook; Olivia (Thomas J.) Howe, Indian Brook; Faith Meuse, Indian Brook; and Kebrina (John) Meuse, Indian Brook; 22 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Frank (Sarah) Pictou, Digby; John Pictou, Indian Brook; James Pictou, New Brunswick; Anne (Terry) Pictou- Gurley, Indian Brook; many nieces and nephews; one Godchild, David Meuse. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; son, Eric; brother, Glendon Patrick Brooks; uncles, Francis “Frank” Paul, Simon James Paul; and Peter Paul, of Burnt Church, NB. Penny was a member of Saint Kateri Church, Indian Brook. She loved flower arranging. She was very proud of going back and completing her education in her later years. She then became a CCA and very much enjoyed doing Home Care Work. She was a calm quiet lady with a quick and unexpected wit. Visitation will be held beginning 7pm Tuesday, March 29 at 70 Tower Road, Indian Brook until the time of service 2pm Thursday, March 31 in St. Kateri Roman Catholic Church, Indian Brook, Father Michael Walsh officiating. A salite will follow in the Community Centre. Cremation will take place following the service. Interment will be at 6pm, Thursday, May 19, 2016 in St. Kateri Cemetery, Indian Brook.
