Obituary of Joseph Harley Beaver

BEAVER, Joseph Harley “Joe” age 60 of Dartmouth passed away March 21st, 2016 at home with loved ones by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Halifax he is survived by his parents, Harley and Doreen (MacDonnell) Beaver and spouse Sandra Baranyi. He was the beloved step-father of John Brookfield (Erica), Sarah Pattison (TJ), Reid Brookfield (Brittany Mosher) and was a loving grandfather to Lily-Ann & Emma Brookfield. He was also survived by his siblings, Cathy Turner (George), Mike Beaver (Belinda), Mort Beaver (Carlene), Marjorie Ashley (Peter), nieces and nephews Jenna, Matthew, Morgan, Logan, Joshua, Meaghan, Jillian and Nathan as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Joe was predeceased by maternal grandparents Albert and Anna MacDonnell and paternal grandparents Aubrey and Annie Beaver. Joe will always be remembered for his love of family and friends. He was an avid photographer and loved golf, the outdoors and hockey. Fondly remembered as “Spider” by many for his epic wrist shot. All are welcome to join the family for a celebration of Joe’s life, 2pm Tuesday March 29th at Ettinger Funeral Home in Shubenacadie.
