Obituary of Gary Robert MacAskill

MacASKILL, Gary Robert - age 38 of Kennetcook, NS. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary on Saturday, February 27, 2016. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Randy and Sharon (Singer) MacAskill. Gary was a proud member of Ironworkers Local 752. He was a hard worker who did his very best to provide for his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was an organ donor, so others will benefit from his kindness and giving nature. In addition to his parents, Gary is survived by his wife Kendra (White), cherished children, Alayna and Nolan; sister, Kim (Trevor), nephews, Shane, Charles and Tyler; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 6-9pm Thursday, March 3 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, from where a funeral service will be held 2pm Friday, March 4, Rev. Angus R. MacDonald officiating. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the NS Mental Health Association.
