MacLELLAN (RINES), Lillian May -passed away peacefully February 25th in the Mira Long Term Care Center, Truro. Born in 1925, she was the daughter of the late John and Nina (Leighton) Rines of Riverside Corner, Hants Co. In her early years Lillian resided and was employed in Wolfville and Kentville and later took up residence in Halifax. She met Allan and married in 1946 and lived in Halifax until they purchased and operated the Sunrise Motel in Brookfield for 18 years. In 1983 they moved to Milford Station and resided there for 12 years. While there she was a member of the Milford and District Lions Club. She and her husband Allan then moved back to Truro and resided. She is survived by son, Vincent (Joan); daughter, Kathy Kaye (Glen); grandchildren, Vince, Heather, Laura, Joseph, Dale and Suzanne; great grandchildren, Chelsey, Joshua, Jessica, Courtney, Connor and Owen; great great grandchildren, Kylie and Jasper; sisters; Marion Rines, Eveline Whitehead, Minnie Green and Annie (Zane) Hennigar; brother, William Rines and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Allan; sisters, Hazel Campbell, Nora Stuart; brothers, Frank, Elroy, Kenneth, Norris “Peter”, Harris and Abner. Visitation will be held 2-5pm Sunday, February 28 at Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Monday, February 29 at St. Bridget’s Church, 112 Mill Village Rd. Shubenacadie, Father Joseph Thomas officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society, St. Bridget’s Parish or to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Truro.
