HOWE, Carl “Quizzie” age 54 of Indian Brook, passed away February 20th in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Boston, MA, he was a son of the late Gordon and Madeline (Solomon) Howe. Carl was a proud fisherman and Captain. He was a gifted handyman, a pool shark and a jack of all trades. Carl loved spending his free time with family and friends. He is survived by children, Wokwis, Pegun, Qwis Julian and his two other sons, Beechqwiich and Wekatesk Howe; grandchildren, Sierra and Johnny Julian; godmother Karen Bernard; sisters, Marjorie Solomon, Wendy Julian, (twin sister) Carol “Ducie” Howe and Valerie Howe; brothers, Gordon and Thomas (Monique); nieces and nephews; Scott, Rachel, Karen, Jessie, Anna Neil, Carl Jr., Clayton, Nimkeek, Cody, Jake, Cindy, Wabano, Brian, Eli, Jesse, Josiah, Sherri, Amanda, Gordon Jr., Deveron, Jaycey, Shannon, Shawna, Robert, Colin, Arnold, Michael, Jodi, Megan, Emily, Kyran, Kadyn and Madeline. Aunts; Victoria Higgins, Nancy Howe-Lutz, Jenny Howe; uncle, Earl Howe. He was predeceased by his parents, and sister Azhibik Howe-Harper, Aunt, Rita Stephens; uncles, Thomas, Joseph and Lawrence Howe and Andrew Solomon. Visitation will commence at 1pm Tuesday, February 23rd at 560 Church Street, until time of Traditional Miq Maq Service- 1pm Thursday, Earl Sack and helpers presiding. A prayer service will follow at 2pm Thursday, February 25th at St. Kateri’s Roman Catholic Church, Indian Brook, Father Joseph Thomas officiating.
