SIMPSON, Carmen “Diane” – Age 68, Halifax. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our devoted sister, aunt and great aunt, Diane Simpson on February 14, 2016. Born in Amherst on April 12, 1947, Diane was a daughter of the late Carmen and Marion (Chappell) Simpson. Diane worked at the Tantramar Motel before moving to Dartmouth in 1968 where she was a proud and loyal employee of the Bank of Nova Scotia, retiring after 25 years of service. She enjoyed being a member of the Woodlawn United Church Choir and UCW. Diane cherished the company of family and friends. A special thanks goes to the staff and caregivers of the Northwood Manor, Halifax, where she made her home since 2008.

Diane is survived by her sister, Marilyn (Barry) Larsen; nieces, Jennifer (Adam) Spurr and Joanne (Paul) Hayes; great nieces and great nephews, Katelyn and Justin Spurr and John, Victoria and Sarah Hayes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woodlawn United Church or a charity of your choice. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 20th, in the Woodlawn United Church with a reception to follow.
