FRASER, Ethel Viola – age 91, of Hardwood Lands, passed away peacefully December 20, 2015 in the compassionate care of Wynn Park Villa and her loving family. Born October 30, 1924 in Elderbank, she was the 14th child of Clifford and Odessa (Kent) Rhind. She was a teacher, homemaker, caregiver, community worker, volunteer, gardener, world traveller and card player. She was a life member of Hardwood Lands Presbyterian Church, Atlantic Mission Society, and Nova Scotia Women’s Institute. Ethel was predeceased by her parents; husband, Archie; son, Clifford; infant grandson; infant great granddaughter; brothers, Donald, Neil, Carl, Roy, Bob; sisters, Nellie, Clara, Florence, Ella, Lu, Ada, and Hattie. She is survived by her daughter, Myrna (Reg) Isenor; daughter in law, Mabel (Murray) Wellwood; grandchildren, Trevor Isenor (Shauna), Jaret Isenor, Dianne (Donald) White, Nancy (Greg) Moore; great grandchildren, Marley Isenor, Aidan and Kailey Isenor, Morgan White, Liam and Owen Moore; brother, Harold Rhind (Bobcaygeon), Ontario; sister in law, Beatrice Rhind, Lunenburg; and many nieces and nephews. We will be forever grateful for the wonderful care Ethel received from all the staff at Wynn Park Villa. Visitation will be held 6-8pm Tuesday, December 22 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie from where a funeral service will be held 2pm Wednesday, December 23, Rev. Beth Mattinson officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home hospitality area. Family interment will be in Hardwood Lands Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wynn Park Recreation Fund, Hardwood Lands Presbyterian Church, or Hardwood Lands Cemetery.
