Please share a memory of Clarence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
MARR, Clarence P. “Pat” – age 48, passed away peacefully at home on December 12, 2015. Pat lived all his life at Indian Brook, also known as Sipekne’katik. He was the son of the Late Clarence and Patricia Marr of Indian Brook. Pat served as a volunteer fireman and first responder for the community. Pat was a loyal and caring friend to all who knew him. He had a listening ear and an open heart for everyone he met. He lived by a rule of kindness and caring. He was happiest when he was playing his guitar, singing a tune, and playing at the local jamborees. His gift of music helped melt away people’s worries or soothe their hearts in some way. He would often visit elders in the community and share a cup of tea and play for them. Pat always had a plan or bucket list and would often accomplish the goals he set out to achieve-writing songs, making demos, singing in Nashville and visiting the Grand Ole Opry were a few of those accomplishments. Pat was also a talented athlete and would travel throughout Canada and the United States to play ball. He was especially proud of the invitation to attend a tryout camp by the Boston Red Sox. Pat was also an avid pool player and he could often be found at Dooley’s enjoying a game. Pat is survived by his eldest daughter, Shenisa Augustine and grandson, Darren Peter-Paul III, Sipekne’katik/Indian Brook and younger daughter Aurora Doucette, Potlotek/Chapel Island. Brothers, Paul (Wendy), Ross (Lee), Owen (Diane), Greg (Monique), all of Sipekne’katik, Manson Gloade, Millbrook. Sisters, Vera, Eileen and Denise; Godchild, Gavin Michael; Godparents, Vincent Julian Sr. and Patricia Brooks; and several nieces and nephews, all of Indian Brook. Visitation will be held at the family residence of 111 Sesame St., Indian Brook NS beginning Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service 2pm Thursday, December 17, 2015, at St. Kateri Church, Indian Brook, Fr.
