Isenor(Shackleton), Mary Ilean - Age 88, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2015 surrounded by family at the Magnolia Continuing Care Residence in Enfield, NS. Born in Grand Lake, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Hilda (Osborne) Shackleton. Mom lived her married life in Elmsdale and Dutch Settlement. She enjoyed numerous crafts throughout her life and spent many years as a contributor and volunteer at the annual IWK Kermesse. Our family gatherings won’t be the same without you and your baking but your recipes have been faithfully passed on to “the girls”. She is survived by her children Allan (Wendy), Bob, Terry (Pat), Merilee (Mike), Tim (Bree), Randy (Ethel), Don (Fannia), Doug, Wendy, Karen, Lisa (Ron) and Leslie, 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, her brother George (Marj) and sister Helen. She was predeceased by her husband, Ted; son Teddy, as well as brothers, Fred and Joe; sisters, Mildred, Florrie, Amy and Hazel. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2 Shubenacadie, 7pm Thursday Dec 3 2015, Pastor Tammy Giffen officiating. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Family flowers only. Thank you to the staff of the Magnolia for taking excellent care of our mother in the last few years of her life.
