RADLEY, Alice Margaret (Detchkoff)-age 80, formerly of Milford, passed away peacefully in Ocean View Manor, Eastern Passage on October 13, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Laura (Churchill) Hills. Alice was a long time taxi driver with Bluebell Taxi in Dartmouth. She loved her dogs. She is survived by her children, William “Ed” Detchkoff, Michael (Regina)Detchkoff, Elizabeth (Dave Dmytruk) Martin, Paula (Keith) LeBlanc, Troy (Natasha) Radley; stepson, David Radley; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Bryon Radley; brothers, Fred, Sinclair and Clyde Hills. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. No visitation by request. A funeral service will be held 11am Saturday October 17, 2015 in Milford United Church, Lori Crocker, DM officiating. A reception will follow in the church. As well, a Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday afternoon at 36 Lahey Rd., Dartmouth. The family wishes to thank the staff at Ocean View Manor for the exceptional care given to Mom during her stay. Donations in memory of Alice may be given to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society.
