WIER, Marjorie Jean, age 88 of Lantz, passed away on October 6, 2015 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on May 28, 1927 in Upper Rawdon, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Muriel (Custance) Bond. Marjorie loved her family, she worked with her husband all her married life. They had a grocery store business. They were in the blueberry business and they sold travel trailers. Marjorie is survived by her children Jim (Kaye) Weir, Truro; Peter (Debbie) Wier, Fort MacMurray; Terri (Byrt) Harvie, Gormanville; Judy (Hans) Wiehler, Hope, BC; Pat (Barry) Roberts, Lantz; Trudy (Donald) White, Upper Nine Mile River; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; also surviving her sister Mary Withrow, Centre Rawdon; brothers Jim (Elsie) Bond, Upper Rawdon; Donald (Jean) Bond, Upper Nine Mile River; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Douglas James Wier, brothers Carl, Gordon, Lloyd and Robert Bond, brother-in-law John Withrow, sisters-in-law Dorothy, Betty and Mary Bond. Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Home. Visitation 7-9 pm Friday with a memorial service 11am, Saturday both in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. Iain Macdonald officiating. Interment in Sand Hill Cemetery, Nine Mile River. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or a charity of your choice.
