Obituary of Floyd Arnold Nicholson

NICHOLSON, Floyd Arnold, age 77, Dutch Settlement, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2015 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Perth - Andover, NB, he was a son of the late Jasper and Inez Nicholson. Floyd was a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, he was involved with Scouts Canada for 14 years, and coached baseball for a number of years. He enjoyed camping and loved the outdoors. He worked in construction for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Beatrice; daughter Joyce Schijns, Stewiacke; son Ron Nicholson, Dartmouth; step-son Carl Kerley, Truro; grandchildren Amanda Nicholson, Halifax; Joseph Schijns, Edmonton and Jason Schijns, Stewiacke; great grandchild Roman Nicholson, Halifax; brother Audbur Nicholson, Moncton; sisters Charlene Jamer, Perth-Andover, NB; Theresa Bauckman, Edmonton and Eileen Escobar, Halifax. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home. Visitation 6-8pm, Thursday with funeral service 2pm, Friday both in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Rev.
