Obituary of Beverley Ann Garden

Garden, Beverley Ann- Age 73, of Shubenacadie, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 27, 2015 in the Colchester East Hants Health Center, Truro. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Doris (Miller) Sheehy. In her early years, Beverley worked as a telephone operator in Shubenacadie, and then chose to remain at home to raise her family. She was dedicated to her after dinner walk with Vaughn at the Wildlife Park, regardless of the weather. She loved scenic drives on sunny days, often remarking that “not a cloud in the sky was a perfect day”. She enjoyed the image of a clothesline full of clothes blowing in the breeze. She had the gift of being able to talk with anyone. Beverley is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Vaughn; her children, Daniel, Michele (Vernon) Mitchell; grandchildren, Matthew, Garrett (Sherry); siblings, John “Jackie” (Sylvia) Sheehy, Peggy (Greg) Peters, Billy (Carla) Sheehy, Cindy MacHardie; many nieces and nephews; brother in law, Dave. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Judy; brother in law, Keith. Visitation will take place Tuesday, June 30 from 6 to 8pm in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2 Shubenacadie, from where a funeral service will take place Thursday, July 2 at 2pm. A reception will follow the service. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Beverley may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Liver Foundation.
