ISENOR Ferris Walter – 84, Nine Mile River formerly of Carrolls Corner passed away June 17, 2015. Born in Carrolls Corner, he was a son of the late Lewis and Grace (Nieforth) Isenor. Ferris loved to play cards especially with his friends in Stewiacke. He always had a large garden and enjoyed sharing it with his family. He enjoyed dining out especially at the Big Stop in Enfield. He was a heavy equipment operator for Nieforth Brothers and Doncaster Construction. He worked for 15 years with his son Walter in home construction. Ferris was also known for his sweet tooth. He was affectionately known as “Daddo” by his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by children Lorna (Philip) Higgins, Carrolls Corner; Walter (Wanda) Isenor, Nine Mile River; Adelia (Pat) Rau, Truro; Leonard (Audrey) Isenor, Pickering, ON; Grace (Donnie) Barr, Alton; Dawn (Aaron) Dean, Dutch Settlement; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sisters Ruth MacDonald, Dorothy Streatch and Mildred Shewfelt; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Audrey, brothers Fenton, Harley and Donald, sister Margaret Turner. Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Home. No Visitation by request. A graveside service will be held 11am Saturday, in Oak Hill Cemetery, Milford. Rev. Angus R. MacDonald officiating. A reception will be held in the Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, following the service. Family flowers only.
